About Your New Job
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems: You will be responsible for ensuring all electrical systems are functioning efficiently.
- Reading technical diagrams and blueprints: Utilize your skills to interpret and work from technical documents.
- Performing general electrical maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to prevent issues.
- Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components: Ensure all components are in good working order.
- Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices: Identify and resolve electrical problems promptly.
- Repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures: Use hand tools and power tools to perform necessary repairs.
- Following National Electrical Code state and local building regulations: Adhere to all relevant codes and regulations.
- Performing circuit breaker corrective maintenance: Address any issues with circuit breakers.
- Maintaining good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems as well as various testing equipment: Stay informed about related systems and tools.
- Other duties as required: Be flexible and ready to take on additional tasks as needed.
What Skills You Need
- Secondary Diploma required: A foundational education is necessary.
- Certificate in electrical field is required: Professional certification is essential.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in installation, maintenance, and repairs of generators and electrical appliances: Proven experience is a must.
- Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints, maintenance, and repair knowledge: Extensive technical knowledge is crucial.
- In-depth electrical knowledge of equipment diagnostic equipment and mechanical systems: Expertise in diagnostics and mechanical systems is required.
- Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving: Precision and problem-solving skills are vital.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills: Ability to communicate effectively and provide excellent service.
- Ability to complete various forms and records, including requisitions, repair and servicing forms: Proficiency in documentation.
- Can understand and communicate in English: English proficiency is necessary.
- First aid certification may be beneficial: Additional certifications are a plus.
