About Your New Job
- Interpret and verify electrical drawings, including redline drawings and cable schedules.
- Conduct detailed fault analysis, troubleshooting, and rectification of electrical systems.
- Perform pre-test inspections and compile conditional or defect status reports in line with national electrical regulations.
- Carry out low voltage installation testing in compliance with national and international standards, issuing reports, snag lists, and ‘As Built’ test certificates.
- Complete and maintain accurate test records and Distribution Board (DB) schedules for inclusion in O&M manuals.
- Implement and manage Lock Out-Tag Out (LOTO) and Control of Hazardous Energy (COHE) procedures where required.
- Ensure Electrical Safe Systems of Work are in place and adhered to, acting as the Competent Electrical Person (CEP) or QC Tester as required.
- Identify and report any non-conformances or site hazards to the Project Manager and QC Lead without delay.
- Undertake periodic inspections and surveys of electrical installations to verify continued compliance and system integrity.
- Engage in clear and effective communication with internal teams, site management, client representatives, and subcontractors.
- Maintain a proactive and positive attitude toward health, safety, and environmental best practices at all times.
What You'll Need
- Full electrical trade qualification is essential.
- Safe Electric / NICEIC / City & Guilds Inspection & Testing certification required (QC number essential).
- Trained and competent in Lock Out-Tag Out (LOTO).
- Strong technical knowledge and practical experience in Low Voltage (LV) systems and relevant regulatory standards.
- Familiarity with Instrumentation & Control (I&C) installations and data centre environments (advantageous).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced site environment.
- Current Safe Pass certification is required.
- Industrial and commercial experience desirable but not essential.
