About Your New Job
As the electrical project manager, you will lead complex electrical installations from pre-construction to handover in the West of Ireland, ensuring all works are delivered on schedule, within budget and to client standards.
Main roles involved are:
- Coordinate site activities, sub-contractors, and direct labour, implementing best-in-class safety and quality standards.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, design teams, and other stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
- Take ownership of technical submissions, procurement schedules, and progress reporting, making critical decisions and driving project success.
- Oversee and manage electrical projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to define project requirements and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Supervise onsite construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve project risks, issues, and changes as they arise.
- Ensure that all electrical installations comply with relevant codes and standards.
- Lead project meetings and communicate effectively with all team members and stakeholders.
- Oversee procurement of materials and equipment, managing inventory and logistics.
What Skills You Need
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing electrical construction projects in Ireland or the UK.
- Trade or degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Proven ability to manage all phases of projects independently, including commercial, H&S, and client relationship aspects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Full driving licence required.
