About Your New Employer
An Irish firm specializing in process control, automation, and instrumentation. They offer a wide range of services, encompassing the design and setup of critical measuring devices and extensive process automation. They are acknowledged as authorities in the field of automation and cater to various industry sectors, with a primary focus on the water and power industries. Moreover, they have forthcoming initiatives to expand their services into additional markets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing installations or repairs on process control or monitoring equipment.
- Conducting planned and unplanned maintenance as needed.
- Managing minor electrical maintenance and installations.
- Handling chemical treatment and monitoring tasks, such as operating dosing pumps, samplers, and water quality equipment, as well as maintaining equipment like pH and turbidity analyzers.
- Commissioning, repairing, and calibrating flow meters.
- Dealing with telemetry equipment, which may involve installing or troubleshooting UHF radios, data loggers, and routers.
What Skills You Need
- A strong understanding of the water/wastewater industry and instrumentation is preferred.
- Previous experience in commissioning analytical telemetry equipment is an advantage.
- The ability to apply prior experience to unique and one-time equipment, with the support of the office team.
- Proficiency in chemical treatment, including handling substances like chlorine and ferric, as well as monitoring parameters like chlorine, pH, and turbidity.
- An excellent grasp of flow meters and their fundamental principles of operation.
- Experience working with radio systems and/or data loggers.
- A proven ability to troubleshoot issues and demonstrate initiative in finding solutions.
- Full, clean driving licence, Safe Pass, and Confined Space Training required
