About Your New Job

  • Safe Operation of Heavy Truck: Operate heavy trucks (Class V) safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations (Straßenverkehrsordnung - StVO). Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in safe operating condition. Maintain accurate vehicle logs and records.
  • Ammunition Transportation: Transport Class V (Ammunition) materials in accordance with all applicable regulations, including ADR (European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road) and any specific military regulations. Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of ammunition, adhering to safety protocols and procedures. Maintain the security of the ammunition during transportation, preventing unauthorized access or tampering. Follow designated routes and delivery schedules, adhering to security protocols.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Comply with all relevant safety regulations, including those related to the handling and transportation of hazardous materials. Maintain accurate documentation, including shipping manifests, delivery receipts, and inspection reports. Report any incidents, accidents, or discrepancies immediately to the appropriate authorities.
  • Security and Safety: Adhere to strict security protocols to prevent theft or unauthorized access to ammunition. Maintain situational awareness and report any suspicious activity. Follow emergency procedures in case of accidents or incidents. Properly use and maintain all provided safety equipment.
  • Maintenance and Vehicle Care: Perform basic vehicle maintenance, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure. Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.

What Skills You Need

  • Class II Driving License: Valid Class II driving license with experience in operating heavy trucks.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with ADR regulations and military transportation protocols.
  • Attention to Detail: High degree of responsibility and attention to detail, especially regarding safety and security measures.
  • Documentation Skills: Ability to maintain accurate logs, records, and documentation.
