Director of Business Development, Strategic Planning and Performance
Reporting to the CEO, the Director of Business Development, Strategic Planning and Performance will be a member of the Rehab Group Senior Leadership Team (SLT).

They will lead the Business Development and Strategic Planning team to provide support to Operations across the following areas: Strategic innovation, business development, service design, contract management, stakeholder management, planning, performance, analytical reporting, capability and, capacity development and research.

The main responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
• Developing and implementing a sustainable business development strategy for the Group, in partnership with Operations and other corporate functions, consistent with agreed strategic priorities and planning.
• Providing leadership, co-ordination, and direct support to the CEO and SLT in the development, execution, and evolution of the 5-year Group Strategy
• Providing ongoing analysis of the market conditions and sectoral policy context within which the Group operates
• Identifying and driving opportunities for service integration in cooperation with the Directors of Learning and Care
• Developing and managing the business development and contracting environment for the Group
• Ensuring the organisation remains progressive, relevant and fosters innovation
• Identifying more effective and efficient service models, anchored to best practice
• Building and cultivating effective, highly motivated teams
• Ensuring employees are developed in line with best practice including the effective deployment of enabling technology
• Ensuring key risks to our services are identified and robustly managed
• Providing Operations with analysis, as well as benchmark data to inform ideas for new business/ service improvements
• Ensuring robust reporting structures are in place across the Group

Required Experience
• The successful candidate will report directly to the CEO. They will hold a relevant degree/professional qualification and have over ten years’ experience working at a senior, strategic level, in a large, complex organisation, and possess a thorough understanding of working in a highly regulated environment.
• They will possess leadership experience in business development and experience of successfully driving change and transformational programmes.
• The successful candidate will also demonstrate significant experience in strategic planning and performance analysis and proven ability to make difficult and challenging decisions, which support strategic aims and long-term vision.
