About Your New Job
- Supervision and Coordination: As the Custodian Supervisor, you will supervise and coordinate the work of custodial staff, develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures, assign tasks, and monitor performance. You will also provide training and guidance to custodial staff and conduct regular inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
- Inventory and Supplies: Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, order and maintain adequate supplies, and ensure that all equipment is in good working condition.
- Maintenance and Safety: Identify and report maintenance issues and safety hazards, coordinate with maintenance staff to address repairs, and ensure that all custodial staff follow safety procedures and use PPE.
- Administration: Maintain accurate records of work performed and supplies used, prepare reports and provide updates to management, address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly, and manage staff schedules and timekeeping.
- Team Leadership: Foster a positive and productive work environment, conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback, and resolve conflicts and address employee concerns.
What Skills You Need
- Experience: Previous experience in custodial work and supervisory experience.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and supervisory skills, excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to communicate effectively with staff and management, knowledge of cleaning procedures, products, and equipment, ability to train and motivate staff, problem-solving and decision-making skills, knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, basic computer skills for record keeping and reporting, and good communication skills in English.
