My client within the financial services industry have a senior tax accountant role that they are looking to Fill asap

About Your New Job

• Taking full ownership of end-to-end VAT process in respect of outsourced and insourced services
• ensuring the correct application of VAT on services to VAT group and non-VAT group members, and working with relevant stakeholders to ensure that all invoicing requirements are met;
• Preparing and filing Irish VAT returns
• Liaising with external advisors to ensure timely filing of foreign VAT returns;
• Management of Irish Corporation Tax and Preliminary Tax obligations, with the support of external advisors;
• Providing tax input into month end/quarter end process with respect to current tax and deferred tax provisioning;
• Tax account reconciliations at month end/year end;
• Managing and Filing of AEOI returns
• Managing tax obligations in respect of DIRT, IUT, Encashment Tax, DWT, Third Party information returns, Stamp Duty, Bank Levy etc.
• Manage Tax aspects of the new transactions, including, where necessary, ensuring foreign VAT and other tax registrations are in place. Identify potential withholding tax concerns in foreign jurisdictions.
• Assist in the implementation of ad-hoc tax projects
• Provide support for internal and external audits

What skills you need

• Minimum 5 to 6 years’ experience in a tax environment, preferably with Financial Services experience
• Qualified Accountant and/or Chartered Tax Advisor
• While VAT experience is advantageous, it is not essential
