About Your New Job

  • Design and Development: Apply control engineering principles to design and develop subsystems, including electrical, controls, electro-mechanical, and electro-hydraulic systems.
  • Engineering Calculations: Perform engineering calculations, component sizing, selection, and system design.
  • Prototype Support: Support the electrical and control systems design from concept to prototype build, ensuring adherence to document control and release environments.
  • Standards Implementation: Implement various design standards and practices, including ISO9001, European Standards conformance, and quality management for type certification.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in design meetings and communicate progress to team members and management.
  • Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers both in Europe and worldwide.
  • Testing and Building: Support with testing and building of rigs to ensure system functionality and safety.

What Skills You Need

  • Educational Background: Minimum Bachelor of Engineering in Control Engineering or similar.
  • Industrial Experience: 10+ years of relevant industrial experience in electronic and control systems, product research, and development.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in the automotive and/or manufacturing industries, particularly in specialist machine building.
  • Technical Proficiency: Highly proficient in specifying controls and instrumentation, industrial control programming (such as C, Ladder, FBD, Graphical programming), and Matlab/Simulink.
  • Programming Environments: Knowledge of programming environments such as B&R, NI, ABB, etc.
  • CAD Knowledge: Familiarity with Electrical/Electronic and Mechanical CAD environments is beneficial.
