On behalf of a leading civil engineering and water contractor with a strong pipeline of infrastructure and public works projects across the West of Ireland, we’re seeking a Commercial Manager to join their senior leadership team in Athenry, Galway.
About Your New Role as a Commercial Manager:
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to join a growing, dynamic business with a stellar reputation in the Irish construction sector. You’ll play a key role in overseeing all commercial aspects of ongoing and upcoming projects, ensuring profitability, performance, and compliance across the board.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead commercial strategy across multiple civil engineering projects.
Manage project costs, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
Oversee tendering and procurement processes.
Ensure contractual compliance and risk mitigation.
Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal project teams to maintain strong working relationships.
Mentor and develop junior commercial staff.
What Skills You Need:
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
5+ years' experience in a commercial role within the civil engineering or infrastructure sector as a preference.
Strong knowledge of Irish construction contracts (e.g., public works contracts, NEC, etc.).
Proven ability to manage large-scale project budgets and commercial teams.
Based in or willing to relocate to Galway.
