In partnership with our client, are seeking experienced a Commercial Lines Account Handler for the Galway office.
This Insurance Broker provides a comprehensive insurance broking service to all business sectors and their activities span the large range of commercial and personal general insurances.
Responsibilities of this Commercial Lines Job:
- To service a portfolio of commercial customers with the aim of retaining profitable existing businesses and generate new business.
- Provide day to day service to existing clients by issuing renewals, conducting renewal comparisons and market research, finalising insurance placements and updating and issuing policy schedules and documentation.
- Collect and submit additional information required by underwriters and follow up to ensure placement of the risk.
- Accurately input information into Applied Relay and ensure file notes are clear and concise.
- Handle ad hoc customer queries and requests as they arise including mid-term adjustments, claims reporting etc.

Experience and Skills required for this Commercial Lines Job:
- Minimum of 2 years Commercial Lines account handling experience
- Good knowledge of commercial insurances product ranges across various markets.
- Strong organisation and administration skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Clear and comprehensive understanding of the regulatory and legal environment
- Strong IT skills with previous experience of Applied Relay being desirable but not essential
- Excellent customer service and organisation skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
