About Your New Job

• You will be responsible for daily process monitoring: Communicate environmental performance, unit performance, and opportunities for optimization.
• You will help in efforts to debug unit upsets, incidents involving product quality, not achieving production schedules, etc.
• You will support small to medium-sized capital projects, the basis for process design, and ownership management of change
• Control catalyst performance and plan catalyst replacements and/or regenerations.
• Create a case and a work plan for turnaround and regular maintenance.
• Support and review the startup and shutdown processes for the unit.
• Analyze and accept vendor chemical programs.
• Check the internals of the vessel for appropriate component installation and tolerance.
• Watch over and OK catalyst loading.
• Publish catalyst cycle and turnaround data as well as technical advisory memoranda.
• Recognize any advanced process controls and controls logic (APC).
• Conduct incident reviews for incidents involving processes.
• Participate in risk assessments, PHAs, HAZOPs, and unit safety evaluations.

What Skills You Need

• Chemical Engineering Degree or equivalent

• 1 to 5 or more years of experience in the workplace.

• Experience with oil and gas operations or refinery operations - preferred.

• A thorough awareness of the regulatory environment and industry drivers.
