About your new employer

An Irish and UK construction planning company are looking to hire a Buyer for their North Cork site.

You will be responsible for the selecting and purchasing of quality products for the company.

The ideal candidate will be analytically minded and have excellent negotiating skills to secure the best prices.

About your new job

  • Research, select and purchase quality products and materials.
  • Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
  • Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
  • Process requests, arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Analyse market trends to make insightful buying decisions.
  • Coordinate with inventory teams and management as required.
  • Assess quality of stock received and report any issues to suppliers and management.
  • Be willing to travel when required.

What skill/experience you need

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
  • Previous experience in similar role.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Working knowledge of sales and marketing principles is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Salary DOE starting at €35k.
