This is a permanent opportunity with working hours of 8.30am to 5pm.
The ideal candidate
The successful candidate will be reporting into the team’s Senior Buyer and will be playing an essential role in providing an excellent procurement service to all internal departments in the business. You will help ensure that all suppliers are performing and that all contracts are up to date and negotiated as well as working on ongoing projects.
The Buyer’s Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this Buyer job include:
- Research potential suppliers and negotiate prices and conditions.
- Expediting and progression of orders with suppliers.
- Keep in touch with internal teams and stakeholders re their orders.
- Maintain a great working relationship with suppliers and couriers and internal stakeholders.
- Monitor all supplier performance and compliance
Education and requirements:
- Minimum of 4 year’s experience within a similar role and preferably within manufacturing.
- Possess a Supply Chain qualification.
- Good systems experience including Excel.
- Good communication skills.
- Good negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Sound experience of supplier sourcing practices.
