About Your New Job

  • Automation SME: As the Automation Specialist, you will be the subject matter expert for assigned systems, ensuring their optimal performance.
  • Change Management: You will manage and execute automation change controls, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
  • System Improvements: Identify and implement system improvements and corrective actions to enhance performance.
  • Coaching and Training: Provide coaching to operators and maintenance technicians on the effective use of control systems.
  • Project Management: Oversee subcontractors and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Vendor Qualification: Represent the client during the qualification and testing of vendor-provided systems.
  • Cross-Functional Support: Offer automation support and expertise to cross-functional teams for the introduction of new products on existing production lines.

What Skills You Need

  • Educational Background: A third-level qualification in Electrical, Electronic, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience working with automated control systems, preferably in the Life Sciences/Pharma sector.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in PLC/SCADA/Batch systems, with a preference for technologies such as Rockwell FactoryTalk SE View & Batch, Siemens PLC/HMI, iFix, Wonderware InTouch, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, and OSIsoft PI Data Historian.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with GAMP software development lifecycle, ANSI/ISA-S88 and S95 industry standards, and 21 CFR Part 1.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
