Assistant Accountant - West Limerick - Permanent - 5 days in the office.

Primary Job Function of Assistant Accountant

Workingwith a team of 5, reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will assist with the Admin and Accounts work of the Finance department. 


Duties included in this role as Assistant Accountant
 

  • Handling Customer & Vendor setup forms
  • Intrastat & VIES returns
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Fixed asset register & depreciation
  • Weekly invoice/credit note run
  • Issuing statements and aged debt report
  • Monthly sales reps report
  • Assisting in the preparation and submission of VAT returns
  • Assistance with the annual audits and ISO

The ideal candidate:

  • Min 4+ years’ experience in a similar role as an assistant accountant.
  • Coming from an SME Environment.
  • Part qualified and or studying towards accountancy exams.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.
