Assay Development Scientist – Biomarkers and Companion Diagnostics

About Your New Job   

• Support the development and validation of clinically applicable diagnostic assays with external service laboratories if required.
• Collaborate with biostatistics and bioinformatics to design and contribute to data analysis plans.
• Work well in a team environment and contribute to support functions of the laboratory if required – maintain equipment, reagent preparation, restock lab supplies, waste disposal, equipment calibrations, document creation, updates, reviews, EHS activities.

 What Skills You Need

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry or in a related scientific discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience in lateral flow development is essential.
• Experience within an R&D laboratory is essential.
• Experience in other rapid point of care diagnostic test development platforms, such as colorimetric assays, fluorometric assays, and tests utilising electrochemical sensors is highly desirable.
