Assay Development Scientist – Biomarkers and Companion Diagnostics
About Your New Employer
Our client helps to solve analytical challenges by offering products for different markets like the analytical chemistry, biotechnology, the oil, and gas industry as we as for academic research institutions.
About Your New Job
- Support the development and validation of clinically applicable diagnostic assays with external service laboratories if required.
- Collaborate with biostatistics and bioinformatics to design and contribute to data analysis plans.
- Work well in a team environment and contribute to support functions of the laboratory if required – maintain equipment, reagent preparation, restock lab supplies, waste disposal, equipment calibrations, document creation, updates, reviews, EHS activities.
What Skills You Need
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry or in a related scientific discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in lateral flow development is essential.
- Experience within an R&D laboratory is essential.
- Experience in other rapid point of care diagnostic test development platforms, such as colorimetric assays, fluorometric assays, and tests utilising electrochemical sensors is highly desirable.
