Your new employer are an Irish Owned, Multinational Practice with over 250 employees worldwide. Your new employee are in business with nearly 20 years and are continuing to grow and expand. Your new employer have two offices in Cork and are looking for a motivated, driven and ambitious Qualified Accountant to join them as a Practice Manager in Cork City.

About the Role

The Practice Manager will oversee a team of professionals, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices. The Practice Manager will be responsible for driving efficiencies, improving client service delivery, and supporting business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Client Management and Service Delivery

  • Oversea and manage a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate service delivery
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, addressing issues and providing tailored advice
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting, tax, and regulatory requirements for all clients
  • Develop strong client relationships, proactively identifying opportunities for service enhancements and business development

Operational and Practice Management

  • Oversee workload distribution and workflow management to ensure optimal team performance
  • Monitor financial performance, including billing, collections, and profitability analysis
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and regulatory compliance Manage and mentor a team of accounting and tax professionals, providing guidance and professional development opportunities
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and support team members in achieving their career objectives

Business Development and Strategy

  • Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and improve client satisfaction
  • Work closely with senior management to develop and execute strategies for client growth and retention

Compliance and  Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor changes in industry regulations and implement necessary adjustments to practice procedures
  • Assist with audit preparation and liaise with regulatory bodies when required

Key Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CTA)

  • Proven experience in an Accountancy Practice
  • Experience in managing individuals
