This department focuses on the transcatheter replacement or repair of the four heart valves—aortic, pulmonic, mitral, tricuspid—and the placement of stent grafts to treat aneurysms and dissections of the body’s largest artery, the aorta.

In their Operations Department, they focus on all aspects of designing, developing, and qualifying the processes and manufacturing systems used to make new medical devices. 

Your Responsibilities as the Engineering Manager:

  • Plan, direct, and implement all aspects of the SH&A operations function strategy for Design for Reliability and Manufacturability (Develops training material, provides training, and drives technical rigor across teams).
  • You will provide expert technical direction/input to Process Development, and validation activities in conjunction with, Core Team Operations Representatives, R&D & Quality teams.
  • You will act as a liaison with Corporate to ensure alignment with initiatives and KPIs.
  • You will coach and mentor engineers/teams on DRM principles, tools, and techniques.

What Skills You Need:

I am seeking a person qualified to a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (Level 8 NFQ) in a relevant technical discipline (e.g., Engineering, Science) with 5+ years of experience in Engineering, Quality and/or Program Management position.

  • Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification in DRM, Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), or equivalent.
  • Experience and ability to train, lead, mentor, coach and inspire individuals and teams to impact the business.
  • Demonstrated application of DRM practices in a variety of functional areas for product development (e.g., systems engineering, operations, software, supplier).
