About Your New Employer

  • A leading Approved Housing Body are looking to expand their team due to rapid response in the current housing crisis and are seeking a Head of Legal Services to join their team to manage the in house legal team of 3 solicitors and a Legal Executive.
  • One of Irelands leading housing associations providing housing for some of the most vulnerable groups in society and has built over 5,000 homes nationwide.

About Your New Job - Your job duties:

  • All property acquisitions including approval of protocols, investigation of Legal Title, Development Agreements and Construction Framework documentation and final closing.
  • Funding/Securitising/Mortgaging of properties, final approval of certificates of title, charge documents and all corporate and ancillary documentation
  • Maintain a quality assurance procedure to ensure oversight of all legal documentation being signed, sealed and issued.
  • Ensuring developments are properly registered with the Property Registration Authority.
  • All Legal aspects of Tenancy Services
  • Provide day to day legal support and advice to enable informed decision-making.
  • Attending continuing professional training as required by the profession’s governing body
  • Work closely with HR to get the best out of your team
  • Attending and taking detailed minutes and action items at board and committee meetings.

  • To provide a consistently outstanding service that makes a real difference to tenants’ lives.

What Skills You Need

  • 3rd level  legal qualification and qualification  as a solicitor 
  • Full membership of  a relevant professional body e.g. The Law Society
  • A minimum of ten years legal experience of  which a substantial part is in property law
  • Proven record of effective team management skills
  • Proven track record of developing and managing budgets
