Compliance Manager

Job description

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an advisor in areas of the business and meet the required Compliance obligations
  • Communicate regulatory changes and updates to the board of directors as well as other key stakholders, maintaining an emerging legislation log.
  • Ensure follow-up's are carried out with department contacts such as Business Assurance Coordinators in regard to any Compliance incidents registered. 
  • Effectively oversee the performance of any 3rd parties that provide services to the compliance area. 

Requirements for the role

  • Strong working understanding of both prudential and business conduct compliance requirements within an Insurance company.
  • The ability to communicate effectively the compliance department objectives as they relate to each business area and how they connect to the organisational objectives. 
  • Experience in stakeholder management and the ability to liase with all levels of business
  • Provide advise and guidance to to internal stakeholders as it relates to respective compliance areas.
