Director of Financial Reporting - Limerick City

About Your New Employer:

About Your New Job – Your job duties:

  • Proactive coordination and review of all Financial Reporting team deliverables, including reporting under
    IFRS and US GAAP
  • Comprehension of all output with a proactive effort to improve processes, resolve inefficiencies and
    document tasks
  • Coordination of financial statement production, including being the point of contact and liaising with
    external auditors
  • Lead client executions and act as main point of contact on accounts
  • Ability to independently judge the accounting impact of the business and to provide advice, where
    required
  • Responsibility for the growth and development of the Financial Reporting team which will include
    recruitment, training, mentoring and coaching of staff
  • Responsibility for staff motivation and getting the most from team members by encouraging
    communication, contribution and commitment from and between team members
  • Distribution of workload to ensure client deadlines are met
  • Understanding of developments in IFRS and US GAAP and an ability to manage the coordination of
    impact analysis and communicate the impact to stakeholders
  • Constant improvement of process to ensure that reporting risks are mitigated
  • Proactive liaison with all other business areas within the firm
  • Participation in any projects that impact the Financial Reporting area

What Skills You Need:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified
  • US GAAP or IFRS knowledge
  • Strong Management skills
  • Big 4 experience is beneficial
