Technical Support Engineer / Cork / Permanent / €41,000

About Your Role

  • You will work as part of the Network Support Group providing technical support to partners and Global customers
  • You will be responsible for resolving customers' product issues via phone, email, and chat
  • You will collaborate with the next tier of support and other departments within the company
  • You will perform technical training and presentations of software and processes to other staff
  • You will create online help content to document helpful solutions for customers and other employees
  • You will actively contribute to the development of new or changed processes and procedures

What Skills You Need

  • Minimum 3 years' experience supporting customers via phone and email within an IT environment
  • Demonstrable knowledge of networking fundamentals and systems principles including: DNS, DHCP, VLANs, Subnetting, Routing Protocols, Email, SSO, Client Security and Antivirus
  • Experience in troubleshooting protocols like HTTP, SMTP, FTP, SMB, DNS and DHCP
  • Knowledge of framing and understanding customer issues and troubleshooting through to resolution
