Injection Moulding Process Engineer

About Your New Employer:

Injection Moulding Process Engineers plan, direct, and coordinate manufacturing equipment and processes to manufacture high-quality injection molded products. The Process Engineer is in charge of organizing molding efforts for new program launches, setting up and/or revising manufacturing processes, and aiding manufacturing operations with problem-solving and process improvements. This individual quantifies results, documents and communicates findings to management, and generates reports while monitoring the effectiveness of operations. Other injection molding employees are mentored and trained in this job.

 

About Your New Job:

  • Develop new procedures, evaluate existing processes, and document them. Changes to existing processes should be implemented and evaluated in order to increase product quality, productivity, and overall equipment efficiency.
  • Process technicians, operators, and other molding staff should get technical supervision and mentoring.
  • Ensure that processes and procedures are clearly expressed and understood by all employees by developing and maintaining process documentation.
  • Increase yield and throughput, promote cost reduction initiatives, and improve part quality by providing technical help and solutions to manufacturing processes.
  • Implement technical solutions, including statistical methods, to meet customer expectations for cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Facilitate and assist efforts to improve facility and manufacturing safety, environmental, and ergonomics.

What Skills You Need

    • Bachelors Degree in Plastics Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering.
    • Must have at least 5+ years of practical work experience in an Injection Molding Operation.
    • Strong and diverse technical background in injection molding processing, tooling, equipment, materials, manufacturing, and quality.
