Job description

Job Title: HR Generalist
Location: Galway City
Contract type: Minimum 9 month contract, this is a maternity contract however there is the need for an additional HR Generalist and this role could become permanent next year.
Reporting into: HR Manager
Size of the HR team: HR Manager and 1 x Generalist
Size of company: 170 employees across Galway, Kildare, Dublin and Cork. The majority are in Galway.

I'm working with an Irish company in Galway city that is seeking an experienced HR Generalist. The ideal applicant will have broad HR Generalist experience and be flexible in their approach. The team there are busy and it's beneficial if you're able to deal with issues in the moment.

Hybrid or Working from Home:
The majority of employees are working from home at the moment however it'll be benficial for this HR Generalist to work on site during their training
period. If a hybrid model of working is needed for the longer term the HR Manager can consider this.

Hours of work:
This role is a 40 hour week, Monday to Friday. Start and finish times can be tweaked slightly to suit the HR Generalist.

Job responsibilities of the HR Generalist include:
Policy guidance to employees and management, perform weekly/monthly payroll processes (the HRM will have final sign off), develop and maintain recruitment
processes, assist with the Training and Development program, on-boarding admin, manage the time and attendance system, monitor employee morale and
company culture.

Experience needed to apply for this HR Generalist job:
2-3 year's broad experience in a fast pace HR environment, good Microsoft Office skills, understanding of HR policies and procedures, knowledge of current
employment laws and regulations. Prior payroll experience would be beneficial but it is not essential as full training and support will be given.
