Job description

IT Support Technician - Permanent - Dublin 

My client is a multinational brokerage firm who are looking for an IT Support Technician to join their team.

What you will be doing:

  • First point of contact for all IT support related office matters
  • Escalate complicated or specialized urgent situations and coordinate resolution with 2ndand 3rd level support teams when required
  • Record and document all details of any issue or service request, including categorization and priority into the IT service desk tool
  • Responsible for the local IT infrastructure 
  • Maintain and support Windows OS environment (both local and virtual) and corporate networking
  • Manage inventory of IT assests and hardware procurement 

What you will need:

  • Strong experience in installing IT hardware and network infrastructure
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Previously worked with Windows and Mac operating systems 
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN 
  • Routing, switching and firewall knowledge 
  • Active directory experience 
  • Knowledge of PBX/VOIP systems is beneficial 
  • 2+ years experience in similar role
