Associate Director, Pharmaceutical Technology

Responsibilities

  • Coach and mentor a team of technical scientific and engineering experts who support the Process development, process optimization, technology transfer, and validation of our products
  • Lead a diverse team in driving Analytical/ Bioassay Method development, method transfer, method verification and validation
  • In this role as Associate Director, you will be skilled in Data interpretation and presentation using statistical software
  • We believe in collaboration, so in this role you will support Marketed products’ process optimization, support and continuous process verification
  • As Associate Director, you will be leading the implementation of data monitoring and management for process and analytical
  • In representing the Pharmaceutical Technology group’s interests on site as well as maintaining membership of PT site leadership team, you will also represent Biologics PT at senior leadership meetings
  • Lead the team in technology assessment and implementation
  • Alternate materials/ component characterization and qualifications
  • Partner with site leadership peers in Operations, Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain and Science and Technology to ensure process improvements and innovation and optimization are delivered in a collaborative, effective manner
  • Develop your team as a high-performance team – by leading and developing your site PT large molecule group to ensure technical and regulatory knowledge is maintained
  • Drive and deliver on performance KPI’s – safety, quality, production and financial

 

Requirements

  • You will have an MSc / BSc degree in Pharmaceutical Science, Chemical Engineering, or related Science or Engineering discipline
  • 7+ yrs Pharma R&D and/or Manufacturing Technical Services experience
  • Acute end-to-end experience and understanding of cross-functional roles & responsibilities across the pharmaceutical industry’s development, tech-transfer, and launch phases, including regulatory considerations
  • Strong collaborative analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong leadership, communication and collaboration skills across Operations, S&T and R&D
