Administration Manager

Cork

Permanent

My public sector client is recruiting an Administration Manager to work on their site in Cork city. Reporting to the Operations Director, the Administration Manager will be responsible for over-seeing the Administrative Services for the site.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the areas of responsibility are sufficiently staffed and supported
  • Manage the provision of quality focused administrative support
  • Direct people management including performance management, leave, absence and employee relations
  • Promote open communication and positive relationships between departments
  • Oversee recruitment, training and on-boarding of staff
  • Review, develop and implement policies and procedures
  • Act as an intermediary between staff and senior management
  • Liaise with other areas of the organisation as required
  • Participate in and when necessary, take the lead for projects locally
  • Ensure all staff are operating in accordance with health and safety procedures and legislation and carry out risk assessments where necessary
  • Attend meetings, courses and other training opportunities relevant to the role as required
  • Prepare and present monthly reports for senior management
  • Other related ad-hoc duties as required

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar Management role managing a large team is essential
  • Related third level qualification
  • Knowledge of/experience with Project Management
  • Experience in a public/private healthcare setting is an advantage
  • Highly organised with excellent time management and the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and numeracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Coaching and mentoring experience
  • Sound judgement and strong problem-solving skills
  • High proficiency in MS Office and experience with a range of systems
