IT Support Administrator

Job description

This is a great opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to join a Civil Engineering company in Castlebar, Mayo. You will join a small team and work across providing support to employees and work with SharePoint.

What you will do: 

  • Creation and Management of User Accounts and Licenses
  • Source and set up of equipment – Laptops, Pc’s, Phones etc
  • Network administration and desktop support
  • Set up of the IT Infrastructure and manage day to day running of IT throughout the company
  • Provide technical support to all employees
  • Identify areas within the IT infrastructure in order to implement improvements, new equipment or upgrades as required
  • Liaise with external contacts in relation to IT requirements, phone systems etc
  • Providing network access and ensuring security
  • Creation and implementation of IT best practice – rolling out to all teams to ensure compliant with IT’s best practice procedures e.g. system security, correct procedure for data storage etc
  • Maintain and manage server & operation systems
  • Manage and monitor the backup solution to ensure that all information for all departments is backed up accordingly
  • Creation of reports and data analysis
  • Explore, test and put into practice new systems in order to improve the efficiency, security etc

What you need: 

  • 2-3 years experience in a similar role 
  • Third Level qualification in Information Technology or related discipline
  • SharePoint development and system integration experience an advantage
  • Experience and knowledge of information analysis, hardware and software system and technical management
  • Full clean drivers license essential
