Purchasing Administrator/ Junior Buyer

Job description

Responsibilities of the Job

  • Support the Purchasing function of the company.
  • Responsible for all administration duties required by the purchasing department
  • Liaise regularly with both internal & external stakeholder
  • Daily processing of orders for materials & Plant hire items while adhering to company purchasing procedures
  • Checking invoices, receipts & checking of stationery deliveries
  • Addressing any issues between invoice & purchase order
  • Comply with company policy on matters of confidentiality and disclosure of information
  • Ensure that a proactive approach to the minimisation of waste occurs in areas such as materials, plant and time
  • Ensure compliance and promote good work practices in relation to Health, Safety, Welfare and Quality management systems
  • Complete any other tasks as assigned by line manager

Perfect Person for the Job

  • Experience in Purchasing/Buying position
  • Experience using Purchasing /Accounts payable software
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment / under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail
