Software Development Manager/Delivery Lead - 11 Month FTC (salaried)

This position involves working in an agile environment where we release frequently across our customer base. 

You will be working on our SaaS based solution, building innovative applications. The team you will work on is embedded within the global operations landscape and is a critical success factor in realising our strategic goals.  


    • Develop strong understanding of product strategy and market needs, and ensure this is shared with the team on an ongoing basis  
  • Provide planning support and recommendations to Product Owner and Strategist  
  • Act as a key stakeholder in the Senior Operations Management team 

    • Provide regular updates on projects to VP of Global Operations and Senior Director of GBSG (Global Business Systems Group) 
    • Work closely with Product Owner and Technical Lead, ensuring high level designs (where required) and user stories are ready at the start of each sprint  
  • Enable team to deliver upon commitments by empowering them to succeed  

    • As a core member of the Agile Community of Practice, be an agile champion, sharing new ideas and perspectives from learning and external sources  
    • Facilitate agile ceremonies, leading where appropriate, enabling the team, ensuring meetings are focused, productive and fun and that the process adds value  
  • Help to remove blockers to success, troubleshooting and mediating to find solutions where required  

    • Promote excellent communication practices within the team, based on trust, transparency and honesty  
    • Ensure the team are improving, both individually and collectively  
    • Ensure the achievements of the team are understood by recognising them and promoting them within the business  
  • Seek out opportunities to raise delivery and execution capabilities within the team  
  • Provide people mgmt./development support to team members, using a coaching style of 1-1s  
  • Help with succession planning on the team  
  • Active participant in the Recruitment process to ensure roles are filled efficiently with the right people to achieve balance and excellence in Delivery  


    • Solid delivery focus, concentrated on meeting commitments and delighting customers  
  • Deep knowledge of leading successful teams, building products using agile methods  

    • Strong people leadership and development skills   
  • Apply strategic thinking to maximise value delivery to the business, working with technical and product stakeholders to influence decisions and direction  

  • Comfortable with conflict resolution and solving any issues that may come up on the team   
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to influence and persuade peers and leadership on your ideas  
  • Adept at working with a distributed team and know how to effectively build a cohesive team identity
