Newly Qualified - Internal Auditor

Are you a recently or newly qualified accountant? Are you seeking a new or first industry role in the Northwest?

Our exciting client located in Sligo has a permanent opportunity for an Internal Auditor. This is a live role seeking applications immediately with shortlisting taking place in the coming week.

To apply you should;

  • Be a qualified member of a recognised accountancy body.
  • Have two years’ post-qualification experience within the auditing department of a large accounting firm (desirable) - applications are very welcome from newly-qualified candidates also.

Candidates with experience gained within the Internal Audit function of a large organisation would be at an advantage. 

Key duties of the role include:

  • Preparing an Annual Internal Audit Plan based on risk assessment including tasks, assignments and timelines for completion for each task and main activities, and reporting results of audit.
  • Conducting internal audits and special reviews to provide assurance regarding the existence and effectiveness of financial, operational, and/or technology internal controls.
  • Planning and executing audit assignments in accordance with accepted professional standards and preparing formal written reports to management summarising audit results.
  • Designing and executing audits to verify compliance with corporate policies.
