Financial Accountant - Insurance - 55-70k

Job description

My client a multi-national within the Insurance sector currently have a requirement for a qualified accountant ideally with an insurance or similar background . You will have full ownership for all financial and management reporting for a number of legal entities. You will be responsible for all areas of finance on a day to day basis and be involved in presenting key finance information to senior management

• Development of accounting and reporting practices within the group
• Reporting under Pillar 3- Support implementation of reporting applications by testing etc
• Prepare monthly management accounts on a US GAAP basis and prepare and present board packs to senior management
• Perform detailed reconciliation’s for both balance sheet and profit and loss
• Management of inter- company balances etc
• Prepare IFRS financial statements on an annual basis
• Management of audit and all queries
• Working on key finance projects within finance

• Qualified accountant ideally with an Insurance or Financial services background – will also consider a qualified accountant from practice working with Insurance clients 
• Strong IFRS or Gaap Experience
• Exposure to SAP or Oracle and strong excel skills and month end accounting
