Job description

Sigmar Recruitment are looking for an experienced recruiter with a passion for business development to join our European Talent Hub in Tralee. You will work on breaking into new territories within Europe, representing the business and looking to win new clients for our recruitment team.

This role will be primarily hands on business development and involve some leadership across the wider BD team. It requires someone with a passion for new business development, and an energetic drive to be successful in this space.

Key Duties:

  • Develop a strategic BD plan to scale up across Europe
  • Collaborate with fellow business development consultants & senior stakeholders to discuss, suggest and implement structure within the BD function
  • Explore new avenues for BD opportunities – host and attend events, network with potential clients, build our presence in markets identified for development
  • Act as the face of the business in your designated territory, representing the business in initial engagement with potential new clients
  • Prospect, educate and develop new clients over the phone (cold-call/warm-call), to win new business for our recruitment team
  • Train and develop junior members of the BD team
  • Liaise with the recruitment team daily on speculative candidate entries and leads generated



  • 2+ years recruitment experience, preferably within IT
  • Enthusiastic, confident and high energy
  • Experience winning business in foreign & international markets
  • Commercially focused with innovative ideas for new business development
  • Foreign languages, advantageous but not required
  • Leadership experience preferred
