A leading energy company involved in the power supply and facilitating renewable energy development is looking to recruit power systems engineers for strategic and significant projects in the transmission sector. This organisation is particularly interested in analytical engineers with power systems experience who have an innovative approach to problem solving and technical issues.
In taking up this role, you would be working with the operations and planning group within the company; this group focus on long term sustainable development within energy services and transmission. Their approach is to foster continuous improvement resulting in process innovation. They are also heading up the delivery of a number of significant projects in upgrading the power system.
Your duties would be in the following areas:
• technical and power system analysis to a high degree of accuracy - this can include steady state load flow, voltage and short circuit analysis
• using tools such as PSS/E, Power Factory and Plexos for analytical aims
• liaising with various internal teams as required to take account of stakeholder needs
• compiling written and verbal reports for internal and external audiences
You will have the following experience and qualifications
•Engineering degree with 2-4 years’ experience
•Experience of introducing innovative ideas and solutions in a work environment
•Clear communication, particularly technical concepts to a non-technical audience
•Experience carrying out power system analysis using power flow analysis tools
•Well versed in using MS SharePoint and standard MS Office tools
