Grant Administrator

Job description

A Grant Administrator required for Irish well-established big company.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • Process applications for funding to point of decision in a timely and efficient manner ensuring compliance with scheme guidelines
  • Manage timely issue of Grant Agreements and Amendments to successful applicants
  • Review requests for grant payment to ensure sufficient financial documentation has been provided and all grant conditions are complied with prior to payment
  • Undertake on-site grant expenditure validations
  • Support the efficient implementation of the Grant management system
  • Identification of areas for systems and process improvements
  • Develop reports and indicators to ensure quality and timeliness of all aspects of grant management
  • Assist in the updating of application guidelines and scheme terms and conditions to ensure that appropriate levels of compliance in place
  • Input into the development of new and revised programmes
  • Present at workshops for grant applicants on the financial requirements and documentation which is required to ensure successful drawdown of funds
  • Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Third level Qualification or equivalent professional qualification in Business or Accounting
  • Minimum of five years’ experience, of ensuring compliance to financial controls and procedures, or justified equivalent
  • Experience of providing support to projects and programmes
  • Effective staff management skills, team-player skills and flexible
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Desirable

  • Experience of working in the area of grants
  • Experience of financial management of funded research awards
