Operations Technician

Job description

Purpose

You will be responsible for the day-to-day manufacture, packaging and distribution of the companies’ products in order to meet customer order requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • You will assist in meeting the Production & Warehouse Schedules
  • Ensure all products are manufactured to the correct Quality standard, right first time - to relevant department and site standards
  • Off-loading of bulk Chemical Tankers
  • Report equipment Maintenance requirements as they become known with an ability to carry out front line maintenance activities
  • Active participation in the site TPM initiatives
  • Manufacture (blending) of Batches to predefined recipes
  • Packaging of products on the appropriate filling lines
  • Member of the site Emergency Response Team
  • Indicative QC Testing
  • Picking & Loading products for distribution
  • Meet all Health & Safety requirements and targets

 

Key skills and experience

  • You’ll need to be Safety-Conscious and willing to operate in an environment and culture where safety always comes first
  • Experience of working with and utilising Continuous Improvement tools and techniques
  • Experience in using Problem Solving tools and techniques
  • Self-Motivated with a critical eye for detail
  • Strong Team Player who can work as part of a self - directed shift team in a dynamic environment that requires flexibility and an ability to work on their own initiative
  • Interested in Developing into an advanced technical role
  • An aptitude for learning and using current and new Manufacturing Technologies
  • Experience executing operations in accordance with site SOPs, Batch Record system, OPL’s and Manufacturing Control Systems
  • Experience in manufacturing / process / regulated environment,
  • Technical skills preferable
  • FLT licence (preferable but not essential)
  • Logistics/Warehousing experience an advantage
