Production Technologist (Part Time)

Job description

The successful candidate will work with the Production Manager/Operations Manager, in relation to all production and warehouse related matters. This position is integral to the company’s production operations, requiring excellent communication, time management and organisation skills. 

Specific responsibilities include: ✓ In association with the Operations Manager: o Performs incoming goods receipt inspection, and maintenance of related documentation o Prepares raw materials for transport to production facility o Prepares finished goods for dispatch (includes labelling, palletizing, shrink wrapping, application of shipping documents etc.) o Maintains the warehouse in a clean and orderly condition ✓ In association with the Production Manager:

o Supports the carrying out of production activities, including that all manufacturing operations are carried out in accordance with the quality, food safety and hygiene policies. Principle activities to include: ▪ Weighing and staging of raw materials ▪ Addition of raw materials to processing vessels ▪ Ensure that specified process conditions are adhered to (temperature, time etc.) ▪ Pack-off of finished products, including drum labelling, filling, sealing, palletizing etc.

o Aids in the completion of process and quality records. o Maintains processing areas in a clean and tidy condition

Criteria: ✓ 3rd level qualification in a food related discipline desirable. ✓ Experience of working in food manufacturing. ✓ Familiar with international quality and food safety standards. ✓ Capable of working with a small team to achieve results.

Working hours - Monday and Thursday every week with a switch between Tuesday and Wednesday every week.
