Job description

Are you a Mechanical Engineer with pharma experience? Interested in working for a global multinational in West Cork?

This company is looking to expand their team supporting the Vaccines Integrated Process Team. This is a key role to ensure that the day to day operations of the Utilities provided to the IPT are compliant.



What would your day to day responsibilities include? 

  • Focusing on GMP/clean utilities & operations (Purified Water, Clean Steam, WFI, Process Gasses, Reverse Osmosis, and HVAC systems).
  • Reviewing as well as approving SOP's, change requests and Utility & HVAC modifications.
  • Conducting life cycle analysis of all critical system equipment to ensure equipment is upgraded and replaced in accordance with the SMP
  • Leading highly technical cross-functional teams and working across utilities engineering areas to deliver robust and sustainable solutions and business processes.
  • Supporting audits on clean utility systems.
  • Acting as the utilities engineering expert and technical consultant to management in identifying opportunities, 
  • Responsible for adherence to site and corporate QMS for clean Utility Systems

What should your profile look like in order to be considered?

  • 2+ years of pharma experience.
  • Degree qualification (Mechanical/ Process and Plant Technology/ Chemical Engineering).
  • Solid engineering and business acumen.
  • Capability to communicate effectively across multiple teams
  • Lean Six Sigma qualification or experience of application of Lean principles is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of GMP / FDA regulatory requirements and current Health and Safety Regulations legislation.
