Qualified Accountant SPV exp D2

Job description

My client within the banking sector currently have a requirement for a qualified accountant with a strong FS/ Banking background and some exposure to SPV’s


RESPONSIBILITIES
• Focusing on Securitisations take responsibility maintaining adequate systems of financial control over assets and records ensuring all balance sheet accounts are analysed, reconciled and reviewed regularly
• Preparation of the general ledger and sub-ledgers
• deliver the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data and the preparation of accurate financial reports
• Preparation and posting of month end journals for all securitised entities
• Responsible for the preparation of cash distributions and any other adhoc payments
• Responsible for the preparation of monthly and quarterly regulatory returns for each of the securitised entities
• Leverage the use of accounting & reporting systems, ensuring the continuous improvement
• Support and engage with all External Audit and Internal Audit queries

REQUIREMENTS
• Qualified Accountant from a banking or other FS organization or will consider Top 10 or Big 4 trained accountants who worked with FS clients
• Good working knowledge or a distinct interest in securitisation would be an advantage
• Technical accounting knowledge of IFRS, Companies Act, Central Bank & ECB reporting requirements
