Maintenance Planning Engineer - HV Electrical

Job description

A leading energy company involved in the power supply and facilitating renewable energy development is looking to recruit a maintenance planning engineer at senior level for asset management of high voltage equipment and facilities in the transmission sector. The job is based with the company's technical group who deal with maintenance planning and technical specifications for required equipment. You may be interested in this job if you have developed experience in maintenance plans for electrical infrastructure and would like to be involved in significant projects in the area.

Your duties would be in the following areas:

-development and management of the system maintenance plan including corrective and preventive -maintenance requirements for electrical infrastructure assets scheduling of maintenance and -coordination with third party engineering firms around outages and other service interruptions
-prompt response to system faults and involvement in investigation as follow up where necessary
-project managing maintenance quality requirements
-identification of assets for refurbishment, including initial scoping and preparing capital approvals.
-development and management of further asset management plans, policies and standards

You will have the following experience and qualifications:

-Engineering degree
-At least 4 or 5 years post qualification experience in the Power/Transmission Sector
-Experience of introducing innovative ideas and solutions in a work environment
-Clear communication, particularly technical concepts to a non-technical audience
-Experience carrying out maintenance planning in comparable environments
-Well versed in using MS SharePoint and standard MS Office tools
