Job description

Site Administrator/Site Clerk for a site in Glanmire, Cork for a main contractor. It is a large scale mixed residential scheme.

Role:

  • General Site Administration and document control for the site management team, including Building regulation documents and Completion documents for Head Office
  • Maintain main Contract Filing System and keep up to date
  • Collation of Operation and Maintenance, Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental, BCAR files
  • Client Liaison officer dealing with clients on allowances, extras, specifications and queries
  • Processing orders for materials and plant through Head Office procurement team and ensuring Purchase Orders are issued;
  • Inspection of deliveries, ensuring appropriate sign off and reconciliation of orders with delivery dockets
  • Recording GRN’s on COINS system
  • Opening and securing of site on a daily basis
  • Maintaining a register of all personnel on site each day and organizing site induction
  • Attend to site reception and receiving/directing visitors and deliveries to site
  • Handling all physical enquiries to site and relaying messages as appropriate
  • Hiring and off hiring of plant in conjunction with Foreman
  • Maintaining a register of all safety equipment and PPE on site
  • Supporting the Safety Personnel in implementation of the Safety Management System
  • Responsibility for the security and maintenance of stores

Skills & Experience Required

  • Excellent computer skills and advanced use of MS Office package
  • COINS experience preferred, but not essential
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience, as a Site Clerk in a construction site office environment or similar
  • Strong attention to detail, with a sense of pride in the quality and presentation of work
  • High level of organization and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise work, to multitask and to work under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience of dealing with multidisciplinary design teams, client teams, sub-contractors and the wider supply chain
  • Experience of working on projects with large volumes of data and information from various sources
