Job Title: Finance Assistant

Reporting to: International Controller

Location: Galway City (West)

Contract: Permanent

The successful candidate will support the team in the coordination of general accounting activities to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial information.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Issue sales invoices and update sales reports
  • Preparation of European VAT returns including VIES and Intrastat returns
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations in multiple currencies
  • Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Prepare various account reconciliations/analysis
  • Reconcile Inventory account
  • Assist with the audit
  • Processing of purchase invoices, employee expenses and credit cards
  • Prepare weekly/monthly payment schedule
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • General Admin duties as required

Key Skills, Knowledge, Aptitudes & Behaviours

  • Accounting Technician / Part qualified Accountant
  • 3+ years’ experience
  • Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Highly organised with the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Similar industry experience desirable – Value Added Reseller
