Financial Accountant - Insurance - D2 - Big 4 Back

Job description

My client based in the city center currently have a requirement for a qualified accountant with a big 4 background or currently working in a similar position within Insurance or financial services. In this role you will be responsible for the full regulatory and financial reporting and will work closely with the CFO and the Financial Control team to ensure an effective and efficient reporting process


• Prepare quarterly and annual Solvency II analysis and reporting;
• Provide timely and accurate monthly management and quarterly Board reporting;
• Prepare timely and accurate annual statutory financial reporting;
• Monitor for changes to relevant accounting standards and regulatory reporting
• Research and provide guidance on technical accounting issues to management;
• Support the provision of financial information to the Board of Directors;
• Support the delivery of financial planning and analysis, and contribute to forecasting and budgeting processes;
• Assist with interim and year end audits;
• Build and maintain strong relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders;

• Qualified accountant Big 4 background with Insurance or financial services clients
• Qualified accountant from a financial services or Insurance background
• Strong technical knowledge of FRS102/103
• Knowledge of the insurance industry and Solvency II would be a strong advantage;
• Knowledge of investment markets would be a strong advantage;
