Job: Operations Team Lead

Salary: €40,000 - €50,000

Location: Dublin City Current

Job Requirements

  • 3 + years’ team leader experience, managing an operations/administration team;
  • Relevant insurance industry experience with knowledge of bordereaux and premium/claims declarations;
  • Excellent numeracy skills with high level of attention to detail;
  • CIP Qualification;
  • Excellent Excel skills – highly proficient with VLookups and Pivot tables;
  • Experience in working to Month end accounting/system processes;
  • Strong Competence with Microsoft Office and Outlook;
  • Proven experience in leading a team, and managing outputs of team members;
  • Strong communication skills and relationship management skills, including Senior Stakeholders, across internal departments and with external Third Party Administrators;
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet month-end deadlines for team and self.

Job Responsibilities

  • Escalation point for any unresolved issues in the team - Ensure that bordereaux are reviewed for mathematical accuracy, raising queries as necessary and monitor responses;
  • Reconciliation of data and cash received, raising any queries with relevant internal or external parties;
  • Ensure bordereaux are saved to the appropriate directories and accurately allocated to the correct programme/year, achieving a high level of accuracy;
  • Initiate prompt receipt and payment of bordereaux within agreed Terms of Trade;
  • Monitor and pursue due and overdue bordereaux and settlements, be the escalation point for any issues from the team;
  • Ensure that team regularly updates the notes facility on the SR system to ensure all parties are aware of the progress of any queries;
  • Provide operational and risk reports as requested by the Management team;
  • Manage any issues from policies and procedures within the Company and group in accordance with SOX;
  • Manage the performance of the team, contribute to the overall success of the Company through active and positive contribution to the strategic directions taken to;
  • Delegate incoming programmes and ensure staff workload is balanced.  Coordinate with Finance to ensure deadlines are established and successfully achieved;
  • Ensuring accuracy of Operations team data for Underwriting, Claims and Finance teams;
  • Designated as Approver in the SR system.
