Job description

SENIOR C/C++ Developer - Embedded systems/high performance code/optimisation .

In this role, you will be reporting to the Chief Architect and be part of our engineering team as our Senior Software Engineer

You will be responsible for:-

•     Researching new technologies and prototype solutions

•     Software design and architecture

•     Managing software availability, latency, scalability and efficiency

•     Developing new product functionality and fix software bugs

•     Working with customer support and customer to troubleshoot and address issues

•     Participating in all phases of development (specification, design, development, documentation, unit testing)

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:-

•     A degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Software Engineering ideal

•     Extensive experience in C / C++ development (10 years+)

•     Thorough knowledge using STL and/or BOOST

•     Knowledge about developing multi-threading highly scalable components

•     Experience in working with complex algorithms and mathematical equations

•     Good understanding of memory management in non-garbage collected environments

•     Strong knowledge of design best practices and pattern

•     Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git or SVN

•     Implementation of automated testing platforms and unit tests

•     Familiarity with continuous integration

•     Good understanding of object oriented programming (OOP)

•     Great at debugging, memory profiling and performance testing

•     Strong knowledge of RDBMS and Linux

•     Ability to take a problem and solve it with minimal supervision

•     Ability to deliver on time and work in a team environment

•     Familiarity with Agile/Scrum SDLC methodology and Agile tools

•     Enjoy fast paced environments with a focus on rapid delivery

•     Excellent English communication and written skills

•     Familiarity of information security domain preferred

•     Experience developing/integrating with the following technologies preferred:

-     Cloud Suite (Google Apps, O365, etc)

-     Cloud Storage (Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, Box, Amazon, Rackspace)

-     CMS (Sharepoint)

-     CRM (Salesforce)

-     Developed natively with file formats (pdf, doc, docx, xls, xslx, etc)

-     Unicode

-     Non-relational Databases (Hadoop, NoSQL)

-     MS Exchange
