Qualified Accountant - Cork

Job description

Sigmar Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Qualified Accountant to work with our world renowned client in Cork. This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary and benefits package as well as the chance to work with one of the most sought after employers in Munster.

 The successful candidate will be responsible for all production costing, inventory management, administration of capital projects as well as supporting management in reporting key performance metrics.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Document and reconcile inventory movements from the inventory database to SAP
  • Review business expenditure preparing accruals as required
  • Calculate and report all business costs
  • Support the preparation of team dashboards
  • Assist management in reporting on operations and KPI’s to head office
  • Audit preparation
  • Review all PO’s prior to payment on a monthly basis
  • Prepare variance analysis on key projects
  • Review completed projects against planned costs
  • Assist with CAPEX appropriation preparation
  • Product costings for all areas of the business
  • Assist with AR/AP queries
  • Work closely with the Finance Manager on strategic budget preparation and annual estimates

Candidate Specification:

  • Qualified Accountant with 1-2 years’ experience (ideally working for a manufacturing type organisation)
  • Motivated self-starter
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of inventory management would be a distinct advantage
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Solid organisational skills
  • Logical and structured approach to work
  • Previous experience with SAP/ ERP systems desired
