Quality Assurance Lead activities such as estimation, testing activities and resource planning and reporting for small to mediums size projects, directing 0-2 QA Analysts as part of a project team.
Quality Assurance Governance in the areas Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Performance Testing, Security Testing and Vendor Management by applying QA techniques and skills to guide others in the pursuit of quality outcomes.
Ensure relevant Stakeholders are advised of progress and challenges being encountered, escalating as appropriate so that project progress is maintained in line with commitments.
Provide coaching, mentoring and on-going feedback to team members to share expertise and ensure the necessary skills, competencies and knowledge are being developed in order to ensure that optimal Quality Assurance services are provided so that staff can develop their careers.
Responsibility for delivery of QA Project Milestones in line with all QA processes, procedures and standards within the agreed time, cost and coverage boundaries.
Produce management reporting including appropriate test metrics on planning, defects and execution.
Escalate risks and issues to the appropriate level to ensure resolution.
Work closely with the IT Project Manager, Developers, Business Analysts, Business Stakeholders and all project team members in the pursuit of a quality solution delivery.
Full understanding of SDLC Methodologies and where the role of Quality fits in.
Act as a quality champion and take responsibility for ensuring quality is integrated into all facets of the SDLC.
5 years’ + experience in a software quality assurance with 2 years Test Lead Role experience.
ISTQB in Software Testing or equivalent;
Diploma/Degree in Information Systems or IT subject or relevant industry qualifications.
Robust Quality Assurance & Testing Knowledge.
Strong QA estimation, planning & management;
Strong communications & reporting;
Good coaching and mentoring skills.
Basic Vendor management;
Basic Automation Knowledge
