Relevant Background:

Mike McDonagh is Chief Operating Office of Sigmar Recruitment. Originally from the UK, he has been based in Ireland for almost 15 years and joined Sigmar in 2020.  Prior to this, he was the Managing Director of Hays Ireland and has experience of leading large teams of specialist recruiters across a range of specialisms including Accountancy, Construction, IT, Life Science, Office Administration, Banking and Financial Services, Multi-Lingual and Executive.

Mike has been a regular commentator on the jobs market in national media, having appeared on national radio and in the press on a number of occasions.  He currently serves on the board of Boardmatch Ireland, the national charity specialising in not-for-profit board recruitment.  He’s a passionate advocate of more diversity in the workplace and has undertaken a number of charity challenges to raise over €100k in funds for various charities over the last 8 years.
