About Your New Employer 

The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (ISPCC) is a national child protection charity in Ireland. It provides a range of services to children and families in Ireland and promotes children's rights.

The ISPCC is best known for its free confidential listening service, ISPCC Childline. It also provides a range of support services from its offices around Ireland. Its support line is available daily to anyone in Ireland concerned about a child.

The Board of the ISPCC Childline has recently approved a new, innovative strategy that seeks to ensure that every child in Ireland can access support where and when they need it.

 

About Your New Job

ISPCC Childline is seeking to recruit a Commercial Director. This is a Senior Leadership role within the organisation which reports to the CEO, to be accountable for income generation and ensuring the income growth potential and ambition is achieved.

The role will lead on a new Fundraising Strategy and is responsible for delivery of our Fundraising Strategy through our newly evolved and strengthened Fundraising Team.  

You will provide inspirational leadership and develop a strong, cohesive high trust culture in the team and enable team members to meet their development potential, through regular performance feedback, personal development discussions and supporting their learning and personal growth ambitions to enable creating and building sustainable income growth.

You will develop a performance driven culture and reporting systems, which provide the basis for achievement of a 3 year Fundraising Strategic ambitions and budget.

 

What Skills You Need

As deliver through the team, you will be a leader with strong people management skills and a positive mindset with growth ambitions. You will have the ability to translate clarity from ambiguity, mobilise the strengths of the team and focus on the key priorities to achieve our strategic ambitions. The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate an ability to think differently as to how Fundraising campaigns, initiatives and teams can be best mobilised through digital, online, and remote channels to deliver sustainable growth.

You have a minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior strategic, leadership fundraising role or similar business development or commercial role, income generation within the private sector or you may have a minimum of 5 years at senior leadership level within the charity sector, ideally with P&L responsibility in an annual income area greater than €4m.
